Phenology is the study of periodic plant and animal life cycle events and how these are influenced by seasonal and interannual variations in climate, as well as habitat factors.
This tree is know as the Honey Locust (Gleditsia Triacanthos), commonly reffered to as the Thorny Locust. The Honey Locust is a deciduous tree native to central North America. It is usually found in moist soils of river valleys ranging from South Dakota across to New Orleans and central Texas, and as far east as eastern Massachusetts.
