The States Of Matter
A Science Project By: Cassidy H.
The three states of matter are LIQUIDS, SOLIDS and GASSES.
When you pour a liquid into a container the liquid will change shape so that it fits inside of the container because liquids are indefinite. Liquids also have indefinite volume which means that the volume of the liquid never changes unless you add more of it to it.
Say you have a cube and you have a circular cup and you try to put the cube inside the cup it wouldn't fit because solids have definite volume and shape which means that the volume and shape will not ever change.
Gasses are some what like liquids. Gasses have indefinite volume and shape. Which means that the shape and volume can change.
