Cyber Bullying.

Definition- Cyber Bullying is the act of hurting someones feelings in use of the internet or social networking, For example picking on someone, threatening, play grose games and trick the other person.

~ Over 80% of teens use a cell phone regularly, making it the most common medium for cyber bullying.

~ Only 1 in 10 victims will inform a parent or trusted adult of their abuse

~ Girls are about twice as likely as boys to be victims and perpetrators of cyber bullying.

~ Bullying victims are 2 to 9 times more likely to consider committing suicide.

How does cyber bullying happen?

Imagine being harassed constantly during lunch hour in school, in class, on your school bus and through your phone or online as you go home. The stress a youngster has to go under to survive this kind of bullying is sometimes too much to handle.

What are symptoms/signs of cyber bullying?

  • Lost or destroyed clothing, books, electronics, or jewelry
  • Feelings of helplessness or decreased self esteem
  • Frequent headaches or stomach aches, feeling sick or faking illness
  • Difficulty sleeping or frequent nightmares
  • Declining grades, loss of interest in schoolwork, or not wanting to go to school

   They help them with there problems and other things going on in there life's.

Why is it important for people to know about cyber bullying?

  • To protect your password- safeguard you password and other information for stalkers who are trying to hurt you.
  • Never opened unidentified post- because some posts might be a virus
  • Pause before you post- do not post anything that could possible mess up your reputation.
