France has the 5th largest economies in the world by normal figures and the 9th largest economy by PPP figures. It has the second largest economy behind its main partner Germany. Oecd is headquarterd in Paris the fianacial capitol.

France is a country that is located on the Western part of Europe. France borders the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean. To the west is the Bay of Biscay to the north you have the English Channel and the North Sea.

The culture of France and the French people has been shaped by geography, by profound historical events and by foreign and internal forces or groups. France and especially Paris has played a important role in the center of culture since the 17th centery.

The oldest traces of humans in France was 1.8 million years ago. Humans had to deal with very bad climate and very bad weather. In 600 BC lonian Greeks originated from Phocaea and founded the colony of Massilia (present day Marseille) On the shores of the Mediterranean sea.

The government of the French Republic is semi presidential system determined by the French constitution of the fifth republic. The nation declares itself to be indivisible, secular, and social Republic. The constitution provides a separation of powers and proclaims France's attachment to the rights of men and the principle of national sovereignty as defined by the declaration of 1789.
