Barnum Brown

The biography report I’m writing is about Barnum Brown. One reason why I choose this person is because I love paleontology and he discovered my favorite dinosaur. Another reason for writing about him is because he is my favorite paleontologist. My final reason is that he had an interesting life.

Barnum had a good childhood. Barnum Brown was born February 12, 1873, in Carbondale, Kansas. Barnum’s parents named him after a famous showman, P.T. Barnum. Barnum Brown liked dinosaurs from childhood to the day he died. When he was young he imagined what dinosaurs looked like when they were alive.

Barnum’s parents wanted him to have a good education. Barnum went to high school. He would look for fossils after school. He then went to college at Kansas University.

Barnum worked for the American Museum of Natural History New York City. He would look for dinosaur fossils. One of his most famous dinosaur finds is Tyrannosaurus. He found the lower jaw and neck bones in 1902. Barnum discovered many dinosaurs including Albertosaurus, Ankylosaurus, and Dromaeosaurus.
