Who Is Poseidon?

Poseidon is a Greek god. He controls the ocean, earthquakes, and horses. His brothers are Zeus, god of the sky and Hades, god of the underworld. His weapon and main symbol was a trident. Poseidon's name means "Lord of the Earth".  

Poseidon's Trident

Poseidon's trident was his weapon and his symbol. It was said to be made by 3 cyclops, just like Zeus's thunderbolt and Hades's helmet. His trident was said to be used to stir up tidal waves, tsunamis, and sea storms.  


Amphitrite is poseidon's wife. She was the goddess of the sea. Poseidon had many children. A range from an animal to god.


Cyclops- A giant that only has one eye

Trident- A long 3 pronged fork that poseidon used as a weapon
