THIS September, Kita International kicks off a new special charity initiative to help out our new friends in Uganda's special kita called miles2smiles.    Miles2smiles is a daycare centre that provides a safe and stable home for over 400 kita children from the slums whose mothers are unable to care for them.

We need your help to make our vision a reality that EVERY miles2smiles child should own a pair of shoes, have the very basic of clothes and comforts.  Monetary donations also very welcome and a list of gift options will be posted in September.

Over the next few months, feel free to explain to your child or children about the idea of giving their old clothes to those less fortunate - that many of these children arrive to kita each day bare foot, hungry and shivering.

Miles2smiles are in urgent need of so much - so much of which we take for granted. This important initiative will give us opportunities to learn and talk about core values such as gratitude, giving, sharing and caring - and of course, make new friendships and learn from a different culture.

So, be ready for more details in September - and lastly, THANK YOU.  If you would like to learn more, please ask the Miles2smiles team anytime:

Vanessa Lorenz, Lydia Lam, Els Goorman,
Sandy Chen Kluth and Jane Mitchell.
