Physician At Eileen T. Consorti, M.D., M.S.
Surgeon Eileen Consorti, M.D., is a Berkeley, California, physician who believes in community service. Since 2004, Dr. Consorti has performed surgery for patients of the Bay Area-based Operation Access, an organization that helps individuals with low income or no insurance to receive surgical and specialty care. During the 2004-2005 school year, she also directed and coordinated a student lice-check program at Frank C. Havens Elementary School in Piedmont. Additionally, she participates in a parent-involvement program in the Piedmont Schools, where members are committed to supporting the performing arts (CHIME) and visual arts (PAINTS) curricula. She presently provides surgical services at UC Berkeley’s Student Health Center. Concerned about the lack of health services abroad, Eileen Consorti, M.D., has previously volunteered for medical missions to the Philippines.
Eileen Consorti, M.D., is highly trained in the specialty of surgical oncology. She graduated from the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Chicago and performed her internship and residency requirements in general surgery at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Consorti completed her specialty training in surgical oncology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Consorti is the Chair of Surgery at the Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, California, where she maintains an outpatient medical practice. Aside from her direct clinical practice, Eileen Consorti teaches surgery at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. She previously taught at The University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
Outside of her demanding work as a surgeon, Eileen Consorti, M.D., engages in many activities of a typical mom. She enjoys baking chocolate chip cookies for her two sons and making jam, samples of which she gives as gifts to friends and associates. She is also a connoisseur of fine wine and food as well as a fan of opera. In addition to her hobbies in the home, Eileen Consorti engages in outdoor activities such as skiing in the winter and hiking at Mount Tamalpais State Park in the spring, summer, and fall.
