ELA2: Poetry Project

This Project uses two pieces of art. One a song; one a poem.

Repetition - hero of war

Imagery - Gives you a look into what its like being a soldier and the hard ships


A hero of war
Yeah that's what I'll be
And when I come home
They'll be damn proud of me
I'll carry this flag
To the grave if I must
Because it's a flag that I love
And a flag that I trust

The theme is don't go into something when you only know what you have been told about.

Talking to the common person who is looking to join the army.

The speaker is any soldier who is in the army or retired.

Repetition - Live and die on this day

This is free verse.

This poem is from a movie and is free verse.

The poem is directed to anyone and there hardships.

The Photo shows a destroyed area that had a lot of death and pain to go along with it.
