Elizabeth Cady Stanton
Elizabeth Cady stanton attended the world's anti-slavery convention while on her honey moon, but when she went to the convention she noticed she could not participate with all the other men, she had to sit behind a curtain in a different part of the building. William Lloyd Garrison sat with them in the back in protest. Many Abolitionists did not think that women were equal to men. Elizabeth Cady Stanton wanted to change this so they formed a group called the nation women's suffrage to advance women's rights. It was eight years before they announced the Seneca Falls Convention.
