About Elizabeth Latimer
Elizabeth Latimer, MD, has been running her own private practice in Bethesda, Maryland, since 2000. Certified by both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Elizabeth Latimer has more than 20 years of experience in the medical field.
After receiving her bachelor of science in biology from Fairfield University, Dr. Latimer attended Tufts University School of Medicine, where she received her MD. She then went on to complete a pediatrics internship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, followed by both her pediatric residency and neurology residency with a focus in child neurology. While at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, she received several awards and honors, including the U.S. Army Achievement Award and the Meritorious Service Medal. She also received the Defense Service Medal during Desert Storm.
Throughout her career, Dr. Latimer has been invited to speak at several conferences, including the Stanford University PANS/PANDAS Consensus Conference, the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Meeting, and the Northeast PANS/PANDAS two-day conference. Dedicated to staying active within the professional community, she is a member of the Child Neurology Society, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Headache Society.
