How are earthquakes caused?
Earthquakes are caused when rock underground breaks along a fault. The release of the energy causes seismic waves and that makes the ground shake. Two blocks of rock or two plates rubbing against each other they stick.
Where do earthquakes usually happen?
They usually happen along the edge of the oceanic and continental plates. They happen all over the world. There isn't really place where they don't occur.
The next big earthquake could happen in California on May 28... San Andreas.
This may probably not look like an earthquake but it is. This happened on Japan's northeastern side of Honshu Island, it was a 8.9 magnitude.
