About E. Martin Davidoff
New Jersey Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and attorney E. Martin Davidoff has achieved national recognition for his successful negotiations with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state authorities in controversial tax cases. His varied educational background prepared him to face such challenges. At Massachusetts Institute of Technology, E. Martin Davidoff garnered two American Legion awards and a listing in Who’s Who Among Students of American Colleges and Universities. After earning a Bachelor of Science from the MIT’s Sloan School of Management, he completed a Master of Business Administration with honors at the Boston University School of Management in only seven months. E. Martin Davidoff received a Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, assisting U.S. Senator William Dodd Hathaway on legislative projects throughout his final semester.
After working for two mid-size CPA firms in New York and New Jersey, E. Martin Davidoff opened his own firm as a solo practitioner in 1981. Once he hired additional tax experts, he changed the name of his company to E. Martin Davidoff & Associates, Certified Public Accountants. Located in Dayton, New Jersey, the business provides tax problem resolutions, corporate and individual returns, business startups, S Corporations, financial and estate planning, small business CFO duties, auditing and accounting, and other financial and tax services.
As an expert in tax controversy resolution, E. Martin Davidoff has negotiated successfully for reversals or reduced payouts of assessments, waivers of penalties, and the release of levies and liens. He has testified before a Congressional Committee on Small Business; and the New Jersey Assembly Regulatory Oversight Committee, the Joint Legislative Committee on Economic Recovery, and the New Jersey Assembly Budget Committee of the New Jersey Legislature. E. Martin Davidoff also provided testimony to the IRS, the Small Business Administration National Ombudsman, and the New Jersey Corporation Business Tax Study Commission.
In other service, E. Martin Davidoff has assisted a number of community and charitable organizations, such as the East Brunswick Soccer Club, the Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation of New Jersey, and the Milltown Jaycees. A member of several professional CPA organizations, he serves on the Board of Directors of BioClinica, Inc., a clinical trials organization that provides data capture and data management services. In his leisure time, E. Martin Davidoff enjoys bowling, basketball, and spending quality time with his family.
