On the long Maple Syrup weekend I stayed home (grandma's house) instead of going to the festival. My grandma ended up going to the hospital and so I took care of business with my mom's house by getting the water, electricity, and gas set up. The pillow in the picture is hers and is placed where my grandma usually sits. I missed her and was worried the 6 days she was gone.
A few days after my grandma left I snapped this photograph and sometime after decided to drive into town to pick up some pizza for dinner. This ended up being a big mistake as on my way home I was pulled over for running a red light. This may not seem like a big deal, but I had no license whatsoever and was a couple miles from my grandparents' house. I thought for sure that I was going to be arrested. Instead, I was given a ticket and a court date.
When my grandmother was finally able to come back home, a company man brought these oxygen tanks to her house. From now on she has to use oxygen 24/7. These tanks go where she goes from now on.
This machine is what she uses to get her oxygen at home. It is meant to constantly supply her with oxygen throughout the day and night. Now that her emphysema has reached this stage I don't know what to do. My grandma and I - mostly her - had a crazy weekend that turned into almost 10 days. Through it all however, better days are ahead.
