Orientation Day

Hangzhou takes a lot of getting used to. New settings, new buildings, new people; it changes everything that I had grown accustomed to in Hong Kong. I guess it wouldn't be surprising to hear that I was up at 3 in the morning, thoughts racing through my head like a herd of stampeding wildebeest. I didn't know what to expect from this experience. Orientation day(s[?]) really helped me get my head around what to do. I got to know a few new students, as well as slowly introduce me to the schedules and way of life here at CIS Hangzhou. I felt as though Orientation Day was a good introduction to Hangzhou.

Orientation day also helped me get to know more people, especially the new students. Through the team-building activities, such as horse-princess-knight and Chinese Whispers, I got to know quite a few new students.

I hope that my time in Hangzhou will be fun and worthwhile, and from what I gleaned from orientation day, I think I'll like it here.
