From the desk of Mr. Parr

4th Grade Math, Science, Texas History

It has been a great first two weeks of school!  Mrs. Anderson and I have really enjoyed getting to know your kiddos!  Just a reminder, we DO HAVE school on Monday!

We have a pretty consistent homework schedule for your child this year.  Most every week will be like this:

  • Monday: Science or Texas History vocabulary and Math homework sent home, Nightly Math Fluency Practice (one sheet for the week)
  • Tuesday: Nightly Math Fluency Practice
  • Wednesday: Nightly Math Fluency Practice
  • Thursday: Science or Texas History vocabulary, Math homework and Reading log all due, Nightly Math Fluency Practice
  • Friday: Math Fluency Quiz, Spelling Test, Reading Log and Spelling list sent home

Parent Conferences

Mrs. Anderson and I would like to meet with each of you at least by the official parent conference day (Oct 12).  You are more than welcome to schedule a time with us on October 12, but we would like to meet with you before then, if possible.  We are available to meet most days during our conference time at 8:15 and 8:45.  Please check the Class Assignment Calendar with the button above to see if we are available.  Email you child's homeroom teacher to request a day and time and we will put it in the calendar to show that we are no longer available to meet at that time.  I have already filled in the meeting times that parents signed up for during Parent Orientation.  If you would like to meet with both of us, just let the teacher know when you set up the conference and we will both be there.  Right now we are just scheduling meetings with homeroom kiddos.
