About Erin Gardner
With more than a decade of experience in patient care, Erin Gardner, MD, brings to bear his skills as a Board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon to promote skin health and, particularly, to diagnose and treat skin cancers. He serves patients as Director of Dermatology Specialists of Saint Louis. Dr. Erin Gardner is fellowship-trained to perform the Mohs micrographic surgery skin cancer treatment method, which ranks as the most effective option for eradicating the disease. In fact, he holds Fellow status with the American College of Mohs Surgery, an organization that admits only professionals with one to two years of training in the procedure.
In preparation for his medical career, Erin Gardner, MD, studied at the University of Missouri, from which he graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1992. The same year, he enrolled at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, earning his Doctor of Medicine in 1996. While at Vanderbilt, the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery honored him with its Best Paper Submitted by a Resident/Student in Dermatology/Plastic Surgery recognition. He completed an internship in internal medicine at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a residency in dermatology at the Duke University Division of Dermatology, and a fellowship in dermatologic and Mohs surgery at Methodist Hospital.
