First System Of Righting

The Mesopotamian people were the first people to make a system of righting. The first sign of righting was in Mesopotamia instead of letters that we use today they used symbols. One thing they did with the system of righting is make the Hammurabi's code of laws. This was to keep the people of Mesopotamia from killing or herding one another.

The Mesopotamian people used a number system with the base of sixty. They divide time by the number sixty. They also use the number sixty to divide up the circle into 360 degrees and we still use it to this day.

Mesopotamia was one of the best place for farming. They had vary rich soil for farming. Other towns would see how much food the town that owned that rich soil.
