Luxembourg/Netherlands 2-Week Wrap-up
A day after touching down in Europe, I already knew what the Europeans live and die by: the hatchback and the automatic porch light. To start, I can say these past two weeks have been some of the longest days, yet they still have just flown by. A period of being lost, not only in translation, but simply lost in an unknown city, country, and continent. Yet, during these treks astray and into the unknown, I have witnessed the most eye-opening experiences... A sense of the "Wow, I'm really in Europe right now" feeling, a feeling that honestly hasn't hit me enough yet.
Over the past 2 weeks, I have already come in contact with an array of places and people. On a daily basis, I am exploring my local city of Differdange and the area around the Chateau (where the classes are held), finagling with the local bars and boulangeries. With time on the weekends, I have traveled to all different parts of Luxembourg and Luxembourg City. And this past weekend, I took my first excursion out of the country to Maastricht, Netherlands. Here, I was able to visit the Bruis Music Festival and see one of my favorite bands perform a killer show, Bombay Bicycle Club. This upcoming weekend, I will be traveling to Bruges, Belgium and enjoying the canals and stereotypical waffles. From this point on, I'll just let my album of photography do the talking:
Stay posted, there will be more to come...
