Academy Awards

Superlatives and Oscars

Here is how to organize the Oscars at school:
First you need small plastic bottles wrapped in aluminum foil for Oscars and a red paper carpet.
Tell your students that they are members of the Academy and they are about to choose the Oscar winners in several categories.
Make four groups of students who will work on different categories.
The first category is Shool Subjects
The second category is Students
The third category is Teachers
The fourth category is Friends
The first group of students work with the following adjectives:
useful
interesting
creative
favorable
imaginative
memorable
puzzling
The second group works with the following adjectives:
passionate
responsible
studious
accurate
advanced
ambitious
clever
The third group works with the following adjectives:
devoted
formal
punctual
instructive
immaculate
lovable
motherly
The fourth group works with the following adjectives:
thoughtful
virtuous
trustworthy
kind
faithful
fearless
honest
good
The students put the adjectives in the superlative form and decide on the winners.

At the end give Oscars to the students
• the student with the nicest smile
• the friendliest student
• the hardest working student
• the earliest student
• the best-dressed student
• the most talkative student
• the quietest student
Make sure everybody gets an Oscar.
