Career Information

My goal in careers is to become a chorus teacher for high school students. While having this career I will evaluate, and grade student work. Begin preparing students for performances, and competitions. Also I will maintain student attendance, records, and grades. I would like to pursue this career for the music. I have always had a passion for music. I never want to give up learning new music, and performing it. I figured the best way to continue is to teach others. My starting salary will be around $29,939, which should evolve somewhere around $36,354. To get my masters degree for this career will take about 6 years.

Campbell University
Location : North Carolina
To get into Campbell need to keep my GPA above 2.5. When I prepare to go to Campbell my tuition for living on campus will be around $33,000. When I am able to live off campus my tuition will be $25,000.  I will be able to have face-to-face interaction with my teachers in class. The student to teacher ratio is 19 to 1. If i do not pursue my masters degree at Campbell i could pursue it at Brevard, Chowan, or Fayetteville State.

In order to prepare myself for this career I should take classes that will help me decide if i would really enjoy it. I could take advanced chorus classes to challenge myself, along with child development to learn how to act around kids. I will take AP English class to prepare myself for the continuous writing.  If i choose not to become a chorus teacher I could always look into Criminal Justice, History, or Theater Arts.
