What are the tools that meteorologists use?
By: Camryn Ruth
Some of the tools that meteorologist's use are very high-tech and helpful to everyone. They use a varitiy of tools and instruments. Most of their work helps everyone daily. We will look at the weather and temperature and decide what we will wear. Some of the tools they use to help us with the wind speed and how windy it will be is called a anemometer. An anemometer is useful by seeing how windy it will be in the future and record and look over the data over time. Another tool is called a barometer. They can measure air pressure. It is useful by how the pressure will be over time and what is the average pressure will be. Like a high or low pressure for the day. I have found out that many of these tools help meteorologists find out the average temperature or the average of something over time. I have found that many of the tools like radars, thermometers, and weather balloons help meteorologist more. They help them more because many people want to know the temperature rather than the wind speed or air pressure. One instrment that I really like is called a rain gauge. I like those because it helps you predict weather and the amount of rain over time. I really like all of the instrments that meteorologists use and think they are very instresting. I think it would be amazing if I could use one tools some day.
