Brief history-Portuguese were the first ones to go to the area they were led by Pedro Cabral who began the colonial period in the 1500's. They found Indian tribes there but there was two of them but they didn't get along so well but today fewer than 200,00 indigenous people survived.
Religion-Brazil has so many religions due to that the country boasts an array of religious ideals and affiliations. Around 90 percent of people subscribe to some religious ideals making it more religiously inclined then other South America countries. Only around 1 percent of the population don't believe in a god or a supreme being in some form or another. It's religious inclination is also extremely diverse despite the fact that around three-quarters of the population claim to be Roman Catholics, in fact there are more Catholics in Brazil then in any other country.
