Best E-Reader 2014

I've been a big fan of e-readers for some time now. I got my first Kindle - a Kindle 2.0 - shipped to the UK from the USA before Amazon opened their UK Kindle store.

That was back in 2009. Getting Kindle readers is a lot easier (and cheaper) these days.

I kept my Kindle 2.0 for a couple of years and I've had the basic entry Kindle reader since then. I really like how small and light it is.

When I "upgraded" from the Kindle 2.0, I thought that I would miss the keyboard. However, I soon discovered that I rarely used it anyway (just didn't realise it). About the only time that text entry is required, for me at least, is when I'm looking for a new book.

The virtual keyboard is fine for that - and Amazon uses some very accurate predictive text anyway.

Most of the time I find that the "page forward" page back" buttons are all that I need.

I'm shortly going to be upgrading again to the Kindle Paperwhite. I've been using my little entry level Kindle for almost three years now and it's time for a change. I'll miss the page turn buttons, but I am definitely looking forward to having an even better display.
