Eric Harris

The incident with Eric Harris and the reserve deputy, Robert Bates, in Tulsa, Oklahoma lacked authority but consisted of power. The reserve deputy was not a real police officer, but a man that paid the sheriff's department to play cop. He claims to have accidentally shot Harris when he meant to tase him. When Eric informs the police that he's losing his breath, we hear "f*ck your breath" from one of the officers involved, as he pushed his knee down onto his head.

This is an example of power and authority because Bates didn't have the real authority to be dealing with a sting operation; although, he has power in the situation because he is bearing weapons.
