How does the Earth move in space?
Earth moves in space on a tilted axis around the sun. One full rotation around the sun is one whole year or 365 days. Earth moves very fast but it looks as if it is moving slow because it is very big.
What causes the cycle of seasons
Earth has seasons because its axis is tilted as it revolves around the sun. The rays of the sun only hits the Earth at certain times in certain spots. This causes some spots too be hotter than other spots.
Gravity and Motion
What Determines the strength of the force of gravity between two objects
Gravity attracts all objects towards each other. The bigger the object the more the gravity. Because the Earth is massive it exerts a much greater force than a book does.
What factors keep the Moon and Earth in orbit
The Earth is large enough to keep the Moon in orbit. The moon is much less massive then the Earth and it exerts a gravitational force on Earth

What causes the phases of the Moon
The changing relative positions of the moon,Earth,and Sun cause the phases of the Moon.The phase of the moon you see depends on how much of the sunlit side of the moon faces the earth.
What are solar and lunar eclipses
A solar eclipse occurs when a new moon blocks the view of the sun. A lunar eclipse occurs at a full moon when Earth is directly between the moon and the sun.
What causes the tides
The rise and fall of the ocean water that occurs every 12.5 hour.
What features are found on the moons surface
On the moons surface there is maria,craters and highlands. Highlands are also known as mountains
What are some characteristics of the moon
The moon is very dry and airless. The moon has no liquid water. Ice there would remain frozen.
