How history influenced Star Wars?

World War II's army formation influenced the why the the army was lined up in the Star Wars movies. The formation was comprised of straight lines that formed a rectangular-like figure.

Anakin Skywalker from Stars Wars was conceived by an unknown force, his mother was a virgin, and he was destined to be a messiah. Jesus was conceived the same way and was also considered to be a messiah.

The German specialist soldiers who were trained to fight with specific tatics were called stormtroopers during World War I. In the Star Wars films the troopers, soldiers, are also called stormtroopers.
