Fallon Ojong, PharmD – Maryland Pharmacist
About Fallon Ojong
As a student in the Rutgers University Undergraduate Research Fellows Program, Fallon Ojong consistently achieved academic excellence, receiving the Women’s League of Rutgers Outstanding Student Award in 2005. She participated in the school’s cancer research projects as a lab worker who extracted protein from cells to establish protein expression through a blot analysis process. These lab studies assisted investigators in understanding how nuclear receptor ligands inhibited the growth of breast cancer cells. Later, as a Pharmacy Honors Research Program student, Fallon Ojong was elected to the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society in recognition of her academic accomplishments.
After graduating magna cum laude with a PharmD in 2009, Fallon Ojong was hired as a pharmacist by CVS Pharmacy in Baltimore. In late 2011, she was appointed as the pharmacist in charge. Her responsibilities at the pharmacy included working closely with physicians and nurses to maximize the effectiveness of pharmaceutical therapy for their patients. In her position, Dr. Ojong administered immunizations and counseled patients about medications. Additionally, she supervised pharmacists and technicians and provided inventory oversight. In late 2012, Fallon Ojong accepted a pharmacist position with Correct Rx Pharmacy Services in Linthicum, Maryland, where she currently oversees pharmacy operations.
