In the begin of the book junior talks about how when he was born he had water on his brain. He talked about how he had surgery to get that water off his brain. I cant imagine getting major brain surgery when i was only six months old. After he got the surgery he started having seizure. He keep saying how he was just hurting himself more and more with every seizure he was having. He always talked about how the kids beat him up on the rez when he was little and till know that he is older. I feel that the kids on the rez thought he was weak and could not stand up for himself. I just feel that his parents also that too. also when he was younger he had to get glasses because of his condition, and the kids also made fun of him for those too This is my memory moment.

In the book it explains the family of junior. I guess his family is like any normal family on the rev, but too me his family is messed up. He says that his dad is an alcoholic and his mom too. Also in the book he talks about how his mom could have been a very good teacher and his dad could have been a famous musician. I feel like on the rev they do not care what job they have but the family came first. i understand that the family came from poor and its hard to get out of poor but why dont thay try. if his mom had went to college she could of helped the family out of poverty. they could of helped Junior with is brian problem and any other things he needs help with. i just dont understand.
