Breast Cancer is a form of cancer. It is when there is an abnormal cell growth and division from the armpit and collarbone area to the breast area. The cancer cells in one's body continuously grows and spreads around the area it began.
Breast Cancer can affect both males and females. However, it is most common for females to develop breast cancer. Breast Cancer typically occurs in middle aged adults and elderly.
The causes of Breast Cancer may differ among the age group or gender. A common cause is if it is in one’s DNA. When someone’s parents or grandparents have or had breast cancer before it then is their genetic code. In addition, the lack of well nutrition can be a cause of Breast Cancer.
The two main nutrients responsible for the development of cancer are lipids and proteins. An excessive amount of either lipids or proteins can cause breast cancer. An increase in proteins or lipids can reflect on the levels of the growth hormone IGF-I. (Watson, 2014)

Treatments for breast cancer vary according to the stage they are at. If the cancer cells have not yet traveled anywhere else in the body than Surgery to remove the breast that contains cancer is a treatment. Another treatment would be a Radiation therapy, which is when high energy X-rays destroy the cancer cells. (www.cbcf.org, 2014) Although, if the cancer cells have traveled then a procedure such as Chemotherapy, hormone therapy or HER-2 therapy are possible ways to take further action.
