Why did the French and Indian War start? Well, according to the site "", it had started in the year 1753. It was because of the French and the British being in a"dispute over the Ohio River territory" and the "alliegance" of "Native American nations" found there. This resulted in a 9 year war, ending in 1963, with around 5,000 total casualties.
