Characterization: Guy Montag
In this story Montag is smart, he goes against the government and the fireman to do what he thinks is right. And brainstorms a good plan to get away with it. Montag stole a book from one of the houses he burned down and he was trying to read it and understand why books were not good. After he had it he decided books are not bad and that it was a bad idea to burn them. So he got a guy named Faber to help him construct a plan to bring the books back.
DIRECTLY : Brave
Montag was directly characterized as Brave by Farber. In the story while they are plotting about the books and how they are gonna do what they are planning. Farber said " You are a brave fireman." Its a example of direct characterzation because Farber directly said it to Montag.
