But what is the Aldo Fights AIDS campaign?
Aldo has been actively involved the fight against aids since 1985 and has raised over 10 million dollars trough the years to help people living with HIV. In 2005, Aldo took a bold step and the group launched their first Aldo Fight AIDS campaign. The concept is simple, the group takes portraits of celebrities like P!NK, Jonh Mayer, Adrian Brody, Penelope Cruz or Elijah Wood wearing theirs products. These pictures are worldwide published in 22 countries and the campaign knew a wide success.
The #FriendFight campaign is build on the message of friendship and how friends support each other to join forces to fight against AIDS. Aldo teamed up with Waris Ahluwalia, designer and CEO of Waris Loves You and House of Waris, for a spring line of bracelets. They are available in red, black, navy and mint and they can be worn by men and women. The #FriendsFight friendship bracelets will be sold in selected ALDO stores worldwide or online and they only cost 5$. Furthermore, 100% of the proceeds is benefiting the charity organization Partners in Health, a non-profit organization who provides medical treatment, housing, water, food and psychosocial support to thounsands of people living with HIV. So this spring, if you and your friend need a good excuse for shopping you have it and you can feel awesome about it!
