Have you ever had trouble in class? Do you feel like you always need things repeated? Well, the next generation of learning is here! Teachers have started flipping classrooms and teaching lessons by pre-recording them and having the students watch it at home so they understand the lesson before class even starts. “I think it really helps and I enjoy it because students can watch it over and over” Math Teacher Amy Tilling says. Mrs. Tilling uses an IPad to fill in the notes in the workbook and explain the lesson as she goes along. “I think it helps save class time and gives the students more one on one time with me while they work.” During class, Mrs. Tilling has her students complete practice pages in the work book.
“I like doing notes at home because if we are confused on harder work displayed in the practice pages, I can actually ask questions in person,” Sixth grade student, Kate Puckett says. This new way of learning is spreading rapidly and more and more teachers are using it!
