The British empire

I°) A brief history of the british empire

The British Empire was the largest empire in history and for at a time was the world’s global power.

The rulers would say “The sun never sets on the british empire” meaning that at the time there were barely any weak points to the empire

This led to overseas trade and the setting up of the first settlements in North America.

England imported luxury goods and re-exported them at higher prices to the European countries which didn’t have a direct overseas trade.

Today it’s known as the golden century of the British history because of it’s numerous conquests , rich trading and powerful domination over its european rivals such as France Spain or Portugal.
