Nubia is located on the Nile river just south of Egypt. The people of Nubia depended on the Nile for trade goods and for supplies. Nubia is vary much like Egypt they lived right next to each other and had to adapt the same way. Had tremendous natural wealth.They had gold mines, ivory, and iron ore. Other important trade products were incense, feathers, and wild animal hides. Because they were very wealthy they were a big target to other clans. Nubian society was different by only having queens as their leaders. Nubian nobles lived along the Nile river and thought they were Egyptians. Common people lived in village sand were were typically farmers. For villages away from the main city had bosses or governors not kings or queens. Villagers got to decide who lead their villages. Nubia is also known as Kush. Kush is a center of iron trade. to produce iron wood was deeded, so the Kush worshiped trade gods for rain so they could grow wood.

Outside of the Pharaoh and ruling class, priest were the most important social class in Kush. Priests made laws and communicated with the gods. Priest were so powerful that they got to decide when the King should die. Below the priests were the Artisans and scribes. Artisan were in charge of iron and gold which was a key factor of their economy. Farmers were below Artisans and scribes. Below the farmers were slaves, servants, and laborers
