3 factors that led Hanfeizi to create his philosophy was he lived to the end of the warring states period, he was taught and believed that most people are naturally selfish and he believed that rulers should have absolute power. "The years 475 to 221 BC were called the warring states period because the region of the Zhou dynasty was divided between 8 states. These states were in frequent wars until 221 BC when the Qin conquered them all." Hanfeizi was born and grew up with constant wars and saw how people were treated and was taught to live that way so he taught his people to act like that or they would get harshly treated. "Those who followed Legalism believed that most people were naturally selfish and to not trust anyone, not even their family". Hanfeizi didn't grow up in a good time period when China was having a war for 250 years. He wasn't taught very well if at all and made up his own philosophy about people and trust and selfishness. "Hanfeizi believed that rulers should have absolute power backed by military might" Hanfeizi though it was wrong for people to not have to listen to a ruler or everyone would go out of control and people would get themselves or others hurt. 3 reasons why this symbol represents the Legalism belief is Hanfeizi believed people are naturally selfish, Legalist believed you should not trust anybody, and Legalist believed people lied more than they told the truth. "Those who followed Legalism believed that most people are naturally selfish." People listened to what Hanfeizi said and Hanfeizi believed that almost all people are born selfish and will die selfish. "Legalist were told that they should not trust anyone because everyone is born selfish and they would end up betraying you. They could not even trust their own family." Hanfeizi also believed that trusting your family was a bad idea  and told his people not to trust anyone. "Hanfeizi also made his people believe that everyone, even you, will always, no matter how hard you try, will lie more than tell the truth." Hanfeizi believed that the reason why people lied so much was because lies sounded better than the truth. 3 reasons that this symbol represents the legalism belief is Hanfeizi believed people are naturally selfish, Legalist believed you should not trust anyone, and Legalist believed people lied more than told the truth.

3 reasons why this symbol represents Legalism is Hanfeizi was very strict, Hanfeizi believed that good behavior should get rewarded and bad behavior should get a harsh punishment, and people believed that when they got controlled and ordered, they would have less craziness."Hanfeizi believed that rulers should have full control and the people should follow and obey every single law." Hanfeizi always want to have full control all day every day and thought that if he was kind enough to be the ruler for these people, that they should follow all of his laws and obey them. "Hanfeizi established a strict law that said the people who followed his law would get rewarded but those who did not would be harshly punished." The people who did follow the law would get rewarded with things like sweets and other goods. But those who didn't would get harsh a  punishment like having to wear a board around his or her neck or possible death. "Not only did Hanfeizi want him to be in control, but the people also wanted him to because they believed that with a ruler always demanding them, they wouldn't have disorder and craziness always around the corner. 3 reasons why this symbol represents Legalism is  Hanfeizi was very strict, Hanfeizi believed that good behavior should get rewarded and bad behavior should get harshly punished, and people believed that when they got controlled and ordered, they would have less craziness.

3 reasons why this symbol represents Legalism is children were rewarded  when they did well in school, the children had strict rules they had to follow when in school, and children were greatly expected to be mature and take responsibilities. "Teachers had a special rule where children needed to answer with respect and maturity in order  to get rewarded along with answering correctly." When children wanted to answer a question, they could not make direct eye contact to the teacher, they had to have the answer without looking in the book or answer sheet, and had to stand up from their seat when answering and sit back down when finished. "Hanfeizi was very strict and had high expectations when it came to children in school. They could not have their elbows on the desk, they could not yawn, and they would be punished when not answered correctly (Punishment depended on how bad answered or behaved.)" Hanfeizi and teachers wanted full respect and wanted the kids to act greateful when being taught. They also wanted full attention and the students learning all the time. "Students in Ancient China could not raise their hand to answer a question and answer with a immature answer. They were greatly expected to act like adults or they would be harshly or brutally punished." Children in Ancient China could not always act and play like a child. They had great responsibilites and knew that if they did not follow them, they would be in trouble. 3 reasons why this symbol represents Legalism is Children were rewarded when they did well in school, the children had strict rules they had to follow when in school, and children were greatly expected to be mature and take responsibilites when in school.
