The human immunodeficiency virus is a lentivirus that causes the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, a condition in humans in which progressive failure of the immune system allows life-threatening opportunistic infections and cancers to thrive.

Over decades, the virus slowly spread across Africa and later into other parts of the world. it started in 1959. it was found in a blood sample.

it spreads sexually or through blood exchange. hiv spreads fast.

economy

the economy plays a big part in disease control. they pay for research and cures/vaxcinnes if there is one. this will affect the countries money and wealth.

culture

hiv can affect culture big time. it can effect peoples lifestyle. paramedics have to be cautious when handeling patients. it can cause people to be less social.

sickness/effects

hiv can shorten someones lifetime by alot. they could have a rapid loss in weight. they could have night sweats also. they could also have symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and fever.

government

the government would suffer. it would have to spend money on research and cures. that would directly effect the economy. its like one big thing effects one big place.
