March 2014-South East Asia Spring Break
Spring is officially here! And with spring comes spring breaks! As mentioned in my previous letter, BGSU Cru does a couple of different trips for spring break, and one of the trips is to South East Asia! I took this trip my freshman year of college and it was such an eye opening experience for me!
The trip is constructed as a vision trip, more so than a mission trip. The students are able to get a vision of what culture and ministry is like in a different country. They visited a few historical places, mingled with some of the natives and even went and observed the way the people there worship in their temples.
They were also exposed to an organization that helps women and children who are stuck in human trafficking. The organization educates the women on how to do other jobs so the women can help themselves out of the trade. They also teach the women about the hope and the healing power of Jesus! It truly is a humbling experience that opens eyes to the world and to Jesus.
Thank you so much for your continued prayer and support!
--For the students who went to South East Asia.
-- For the organization that works with those in human trafficking.
-- For those in human trafficking, and that they will find hope and freedom in Jesus.
