The Doctor

The Doctor was very intelligent in the field of medicine and surgery. He was also very "grounded in astronomy." He could look at his patient's favorite star and determine when would be the best hour to make "charms and magic effigies" (424-429) He was well versed in Roman Mythology. (439- 443) The Doctor did not read the Bible much. His diet contains " no superfluities for pleasure, only digestives, nutritives and such."  He "wore blood red garments slashed with bluish gray and lined with taffeta." (449-450) He kept the gold he won in greed, not allowing others the right to know how wealthy he really was; "Therefore he had a special love of gold" (454)
