Thank you Mr. Falker and The Junkyard Wonders are alike in many ways. They both have a teacher who encourages them. They are both about Patrica Polacco. Also, the two story's take place in a school. Trisha is the main character in both story's.
The two story's also have many differences, too. One story takes place in California and the other in Michigan. The problem in Thank you Mr. Falker is Trisha couldn't read and the problem in The Junkyard Wonders is the kids in Trisha's class thought they were junk. The solution in Thank you Mr. Falker is Mr. Falker taught Trisha how to read and the solution in The Junkyard Wonders is Trisha made newthings out of junk at the junkyard. The theme in Thank you Mr. Falker is accomplishments take time and hard work and the theme in The Junkyard Wonders is believe in yourself.
