Year 11 Exams & Revision
We are around half way through the examinations and we would like to thank all of the pupils for their exemplary behaviour and conduct thus far. Please ensure you use the time over half term and study leave effectively to revise and fully prepare for your examinations. The schedule for the June exams and revision sessions is below and we look forward to seeing you all again on Celebration Day, 20th June.
Year 12 Return
A quick reminder that all year 12 students are due back in school on Monday 2nd June.
New Senior Prefect Team
After a rigorous selection process comprising of; staff and student votes, letters of application and interviews, the new senior prefect team has been appointed. We wish them well in their new rolls and also thank the outgoing team for all of their hard work and the professional way in which they have represented the school.
The new team is as follows:

Deputy Head Boy: Luke Randall
Deputy Head Girl: Hannah Purdy
6th form Council (male lead) and Senior Prefect: Fraser Snowden

Congratulations to Ella Kasperowicz and Susan Nash in y13. Both students received generous bursaries from BADAC (Burton And District Arts Council) to support talent and careers ambitions within the arts.
The image below is the fantastic invitation to the Applied Art & Design exhibition, created by Taylor Gilman in year 13. We hope lots of people make it on 10th June between 6 and 8pm to see all the hard work the students have put in.
Year 13 Leavers Day
Today we have said goodbye to Year 13, they have been at the school for the last 5 years and have been a credit to themselves and the school. We wish them all well in whatever direction life takes them but remember you will always be Old Alleynians.

GCSE Maths Revision

Year 9 & 10 Exams
Year 10 exams will take place from 16th June to 26th June. A timetable will be available shortly. Class teachers will give more information about the individual subject exams.
Year 9 will have an English exam on Wednesday 25th June periods 3 and 4 and a Maths exam on Friday 27th June periods 1 and 2. Any other end of year assessments will take place in normal lesson time.
Choir will restart after half term. The first rehearsal will be Wednesday 4th June at lunchtime in room 67. New members are always welcome.
The choir will be touring New York in July 2015 and you will need to be a member to be considered for the tour.
Girls Sports Results
The Year 9 & 10 girls made a strong start to their rounders leagues this week. The Year 9's had a convincing win against Pingle, the score being 19 1/2 to 4. Tash Hall was nominated player of the match. The Year 10's had two closely contested fixtures. They beat Pingle 13 - 11 DeFerrers 10-7 1/2. Hannah Kiddle & Molly Joran were nominated as Player of Match.
