Schumacher comes out of coma

The representative of the seven times world champion Formula 1 confirms the positive development in the physical state of the German former pilot, admitted since last December 29 by the accident that killed skiing in Méribel Station.

After a few days of speculation, Sabine Kehm, only authorized representative and spokesman Michael Schumacher, confirmed the good news Monday.

The statement reads: "Michael has left Grenoble University Hospital to continue his long rehabilitation period. No longer in a coma. The family wishes to express appreciation to all the doctors who have treated you, nurses and therapists Grenoble and first aid to the accident site, and they have all done an excellent job in these first months. The family also wishes to thank everyone who sent their good wishes to Michael for recovery. We are sure that this has helped him a lot. We also want to ask for understanding from now, so its still long rehabilitation phase takes place out of public view
