The percent of change of the prices between 1990 and 2014

by Ryleigh Mussato and Taylor austin

At some point in the winter, for most of us, we'll need a winter coat to protect us from the harsh conditions. But have you ever wondered how much the cost has changed for a coat from the 90's? The answer is a 185% increase from then to now. That's a lot. Why exactly have the prices changed? The prices have changed because of something we call inflation. Inflation is where the good's scarcity increases or if the value of the dollar decreases, both causing the good's price to rise. The price in 1995 for a good winter coat costed around $50.00, now a good coat being sold as retail is $129.
