About Gary Keister
The founder of Wescom Capital, Inc., Gary Keister continues to lead the company as president and CEO. The firm offers business services to corporate clients, providing expertise in startups,turnarounds and consolidations, as well as providing access to capital markets,venture capital and private equity investments. Prior to establishing Wescom in 1994, Keister accumulated managerial experience serving as chairman of the Hudson Bay Group, as well as being a founding director for the John Cabot Company. Additionally, he acted as CEO for Veribus, Inc., a private corporate investment firm where he initiated two major acquisitions.
In his early years Keister worked in the Middle East as an advisor to AID contractors and upon returning to the US took a position as president for an international food processing company.
Gary Keister holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and philosophy from Santa Clara University and a Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He was an adjunct professor at Heritage College and taught evening classes at San Jose State.
Keister is a long distance biker, a published writer and poet. He also has been instrumental in developing projects that provide affordable housing. He volunteers at a local winter shelter and has long been a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Mr. Keister serves as a director of the Jefferson Land Trust.
