Dennison W. Griffith, “Denny” - the third president of Columbus College of Art & Design, was appointed the position fourteen years ago. During his presidency he has overseen the doubling of the size of the campus as well as growth in CCAD’s academic, community outreach and exhibition programs. He currently serves on the boards of The Columbus Partnership, a forty-member consortium of central Ohio CEOs dedicated to economic development in the region, Experience Columbus, the region’s convention and visitors’ bureau, and the National Association of Schools of Art & Design, the leading accreditation agency for the art and design field in this country. Alongside his administrative career Denny has maintained a vigorous commitment to his work as an artist. His work has been included in more than 95 group and solo exhibitions domestically and abroad. It is in the collections of such public institutions as The Butler Institute of American Art, The Columbus Museum of Art, the Columbus Metropolitan Library, Ohio Wesleyan University, and over a dozen major corporate collections nationwide. He earned his Master of Fine Arts degree from The Ohio State University (1994) and his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University (1974). He holds a certificate of completion from the Getty Leadership Institute (1996).
