Game Based Learning

According to Teachthought, Game-based learning enables us to learn through games. If students played a game of Hasbro's Battleship, the gameplay might unknowingly help them refine their skills in plotting coordinates. If a student played SimCity by Maxis, they would able to simulate how a city is organized which will wllow them to understand the economic and social comeplexities involved in managing a city. Check out SimCityEdu! Even Angry Birds can shed light on quadratic functions. Game-based learning allows the student to:

  • learn in an engaging and critical manner,
  • support all forms of learning
  • repackage the curriculum
