Vice President of Business Development and Business Operations
About - George So Colgate
A graduate of Colgate University, George So made history at
Colgate by co-founding Eastwind, the first student group to establish an
Asian-interest fraternity designated for Asians and Asian-Americans. He
also helped establish a second chapter at Vassar University and served
as president of the Chinese Students Association at Colgate. After
earning a B.A. in English, George So moved to California, where he
earned a M.A. in education from the University of California, Davis. He
used his master’s degree knowledge as a high school teacher at Eastside
College Preparatory, a nonprofit, no-tuition private school that takes
on 100 percent low socio-economic students. He developed the curriculum
for English, Math, and SAT classes and developed the school’s original
SAT prep materials.
George So left teaching in order to pursue his interest in business development and customer experience. He served as a customer experience specialist with Wildfire Interactive, Inc., developing the company’s first training program curriculum as well as many of the company’s tutorial documents and videos. He then became a business development associate with the publisher network at Simply Hired, for which he managed interactions with current and prospective business partners. Currently George So works as the vice president of business development and business operations with PIXLEE, a start-up that was established in 2012.
