OKAY for NOW!

In the novel okay for now- Doug Swieteck reuses this sentence it was the only thing I ever owned that hadn't belonged to some other Swieteck before me. He says that sentence over and over again in the book because he got a baseball cap from a famous baseball player, which was really the only thing that he got from someone or owned something from someone besides his family.

In the novel okay for now Doug the main character seem's to have struggles with his dad and brother in the book. He seems to have a struggle connecting with them or doing anything. I feel bad for the character he doesn't get along with his dad, his dad doesn't seem to care about anyone but himself. His brother doesn't care about him or anyone else he just seem like hes looking for trouble.

In the story Okay for Now, Doug the main character is upset about his baseball cap that he got from a famous baseball player- that is signed by him. He does not like the fact that his brother beat him up for it, then sold it for a pack of cigaretes and it just went around and around for a while then into a ditch on a road, that he had walked down and searched for the hat but still can't find it. Doug the main character brings that up a lot in the story.
