Running with the Bulls

Running with the bulls has happened every year for the last 30 years. It started because they needed a way to get the bulls into a new ring in 1852. It always happens from July 6- July 14.

It starts at the corral in Calle Santo Domingo when the San Cermin church clock strikes 8:00 am. The bulls chase after the runners for 825 meters which is from the corral to the bull ring which takes between three to four minutes usually unless a bull is lost or taken out of the crowd of many bulls.

This is dangerous on a lot of accords since the bulls have been known for attacking people out of nowhere and people will trample you if you fall down and the bulls have been trampled. In 2013 23 people were injured in the event.

Good job. Do people hire others to run, or do people just get together on the appointed day?
